This secluded cabin rental is located near Gainesville, Florida, and can accommodate nine guests for a rustic vacation getaway. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two of which have balconies, in addition to two half bathrooms. Downstairs, there is a full bathroom with a vanity, sink, toilet, tub, and shower. All three bedrooms have two single beds each. Linens and towels are provided, but host requires guests to bring their own towels to use down at the river.

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Rum Island Park & Springs back onto the property and can be accessed via a path from the back entrance. The park offers access to the river, a boat ramp, benches for picnicking, and a beautiful natural spring where visitors can snorkel, dive, swim, and canoe. The Gainesville Natural History Museum has exhibits for visitors of all ages, including a recently added whale skeleton. It also has its own Butterfly Rainforest exhibit, where visitors can see a huge variety of butterflies of all species and colors, as well as flowering plants, birds, and chrysalises. The Paynes Prairie is an area of swampland with a wide range of animals, including a large number of wild alligators. It is ideally suited for photographers, as well as bird watchers There are also sand cranes, wild horses, American bison bald eagles, and barn owls.
