Orange Springs

Orange Springs is a great destination for anybody looking to see a side of Florida that is much calmer and less touristed than the coastline, as well as much more authentic. Located just at the edge of the Ocala National Forest in northern Florida, and a half-mile from the Ocklawaha River, Orange Springs is home to an enormous quantity of exotic wildlife, as well as a certain Old Florida charm. Head to the Lochloosa Wildlife Conservation Area to spot even more local wildlife, or make your way to Lochloosa Lake for swimming, canoeing, boating, and fishing. And for those who can't resist seeing a bit of the more touristed side of the state, Orange Springs is less than an hour's drive from Daytona Beach, and less than two hours drive from Disney.
