This beach house is located on a bridgeless island in the Gulf of Mexico. Leave your car and your cares at the marina because Little Gasparilla is accessible only by water taxi! That means our beaches are uncrowded and tourists and traffic are just a mainland memory. If you are looking for a quiet tropical island to relax and unplug, Little Gasparilla is your dream vacation spot. This charming family beach house offers the perfect spot for beachfront relaxation.
SPACE
The front porch, living room, kitchen and dining area all have dramatic views of the Gulf of Mexico. Sit on the shaded downstairs front porch, swing on the porch swing and watch dolphins and manatees roam up and down the sandbar.
This beach house has been renovated and maintains a wonderful beach vibe. If you are expecting pristine 5-star resort ambiance, this might not be the spot for you. But if you are coming to be on the beach, close to the beach, you want to hear the beach and truly experience the beach....this is the perfect spot.
This home is situated directly ON the beach for the best views ever of our Little Gasparilla sunsets. Yet it is just a short walk from the community dock. Dock 38 is shared by other owners on the lane, and this rental comes with access to a slip on the dock if you choose to rent a boat or kayak during your stay -- or bring your own.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with shower. The guest bedroom has a queen and there is a third bedroom with two twins. These two bedrooms share a second bathroom in the hallway. The home sleeps 6 guests comfortably. There is also a third small half bath downstairs on the deck level. The kitchen is fully equipped with both a drip coffee maker, dishwasher and all the appliances you need to cook a simple beach meal or a gourmet feast. The home is stocked with basic pantry items and all cookware, dishes, utensils and linens are available for your use, including beach towels.
The home has a covered upstairs porch in addition to an open porch for sunning. There is also a covered porch under the house which allows you to sit in the shade and still watch the kids on the beach.

Damage Protection - The $59 charge listed as a "management fee" on your quote covers your purchase of $2500 of “all risk” damage protection coverage on your rental property. This protection is purchased in lieu of a cash damage deposit. Coverage details are spelled out in your contract.
Boat Slip - included on dock number 38 (this is also where the water taxi will drop you off)
Complimentary Concierge- will meet you at the dock with a golf cart to assist with transporting your luggage and groceries to the home

FAQ
Parking- You can NOT DRIVE TO THE ISLAND. You park your car at the marina for $8 per day ($10 with a boat trailer).
Water taxi- The water taxi runs by appointment only and it is $15 per person (each way) during regular daytime hours. The water taxi will drop you off at dock 38.

Please evaluate your expectations before booking a stay on Little Gasparilla Island. If you are expecting a polished "resort" atmosphere, Little Gasparilla is decidedly more rustic. During periods of heavy rain or tropical storms, there may be standing water on the roadways, at the dock and around the house. This is a tropical environment with mosquitoes, rust, power outages and other minor inconveniences. If you are expecting resort amenities and services, the island might not be for you.

I UNDERSTAND THIS HOME IS ON AN ISLAND WITH NO CAR ACCESS AND THAT I CANNOT CHECK IN WITHOUT RETURNING A SIGNED CONTRACT (PROVIDED BY THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY).
At least two members of any group must be age 25 or older; sorry but we cannot rent to college students during Spring Break.
Holiday surcharges are applied for reservations for Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Christmas/New Years timeframes.
Guests responsible for golf cart rental, mainland parking at the marina and water taxi charges.
No pets permitted on this property.
WaivoTM Security Deposit Waiver
If You have purchased a WaivoTM Security Deposit Waiver, then the following terms and conditions are now part of Your vacation rental property lease agreement.
I. AGREEMENT
A. On behalf of the management company, the party authorized to rent the vacation rental property and the owner of the vacation rental property, Waivo has assumed the responsibility for damages as outlined below and waives Your security deposit up to $2,500, the waiver limit purchased by You, the renter, for your stay at the vacation rental property.
B. Waivo is hereby responsible for theft or damage to the vacation rental property as a result of Your acts or omissions up to $2,500. This waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items outside of Waivo’s responsibilities.
C. This is not an agreement to provide insurance. You are buying a waiver of the security deposit otherwise due as part of Your vacation rental property lease agreement.
II. EXCLUSIONS
A. This Security Deposit Waiver will not pay for damages or theft resulting from:
1. Acts of god
2. Normal wear and tear
3. Theft without a valid police report
4. Loss of use of the vacation rental property
5. Rodent, termite, bed bug or other animal damage or infestation
6. Prior damage
B. This Waiver will not pay for damage or theft of property owned by You.
III. CONDITIONS
A. Waivo has the sole authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs and eligibility for the waiver, and shall exercise that authority in a reasonable
manner.
B. This Waiver is only effective for a one-time single continuous stay for which You purchased the Waiver. It takes effect when You occupy the vacation rental property and terminates when You depart the same vacation rental property.
C. This Waiver is only effective if any theft or damage is reported to Waivo by You, the property manager, the online travel agent or the owner of the vacation rental property within 3 days of Your departure from the vacation rental property.
D. Waivo will not respond to damage or theft under $50 US dollars. If the damage or theft exceeds $50 then Waivo will be responsible for the actual amount of the damage or theft as determined by Waivo up to $2,500, the waiver limit purchased by You.
E. If there is a dispute related to these terms, mediation is required before any party may file litigation. In the event of litigation, all parties waive the right to a jury trial.
IV. DEFINITIONS
You, or Your, is the renter of the vacation rental property and includes the renter’s spouse, children and any other person the renter invited on to the vacation rental property during your stay at the vacation rental property..
Please note that the cleaning rate will be increased for rentals of 14 nights or more.
Neither the property owner nor the rental manager is responsible for any inability to occupy the premises due to acts of God, including but not limited to hurricane, windstorm, flood, or red tide. No refunds are issued for early departure or unused days. Any request to reschedule reservation dates is subject to approval of the property owner and, if approved, require the tenant to pay a $200 non-refundable rescheduling fee. The rescheduling credit has no cash value and no refunds will be issued if the tenant decides to cancel their rescheduled dates.
You must adhere to ordinances regarding turtle lighting restrictions. If you are staying in a beachfront home, outside lights must be turned off and inside lights must shielded by closing curtains or blinds. If you are in violation of this, don’t be surprised or offended if someone knocks on your door and reminds you to turn off your lights. Islanders take turtle preservation very seriously and violations will definitely affect your deposit.
All your trash must be removed from the island when you leave. Do not leave trash on the beach, in the roadways, under the house or in the bins UNLESS you have been notified that there is trash pickup. Trash should only be put out on the day it is picked up.
Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. This includes our environment and our wildlife as well as other visitors, workers and island residents. If you throw trash on the island, leave trash on the beach, disturb turtle nests, relocate gopher tortoises or otherwise harm animals on the island, are rude or verbally abusive to the concierge or water taxi drivers, chances are your deposit will be impacted or your stay will be shortened. Abuse of drugs or alcohol will not be tolerated, and large or loud parties are not allowed at any rental property. If a resident or owner or even another guest asks you to tone down your music, watch your language, avoid loud behavior or be more respectful, please try and respond politely. Please contact our guest services manager if you have issues with any other guests or owners on the island. She will follow up and we kindly request that you avoid any confrontations.
Little Gasparilla is a small, family-friendly island. This is not a resort, and the entire island is basically private property, with the exception of some of the major roadways. Even established roadways often cross private property. Owners in the past have been willing to overlook people using these roads, but if trespassing turns into malicious mischief, entire sections of the island may become inaccessible to guests.
