Quincy

Quincy is a mere 20 minutes from Tallahassee, but it feels like a world away, with its relaxed Old Florida vibe and numerous historic Victorian buildings. The downtown district is utterly charming, with its old-fashioned architecture, numerous gift shops, antique stores, restaurants, and cafes - as well as the famous Gadsden County Courthouse and an old-time drugstore. Check out the Gadsden Arts Center, which is a part of the North Florida Arts Trail. It is also close to Lake Talquin State Park, Aucilla Wildlife Managment Area - two areas ideal for hiking, fishing, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and much more. There is also the Gulf Coast close by - ideal for day trips.
