As this is a floating cottage, parents of toddlers should contact the host prior to booking.
There are stairs with a sturdy handrail to the loft bedroom. The cottage is not suitable for guests with mobility limitations as access requires walking down a ramp with handrails to a floating dock, then a ten to fourteen inch step onto the back porch.
The cottage is strictly a non-smoking environment, indoors or on the porches.
Because this is a cottage, floating in a marina over which the host has no control, the host requests that you acknowledge the Risks & Assumption of Risk & Responsibility of Guests.
By making this reservation at the Floating Cottage, I agree to the following:
This is a legal agreement between myself, to be known as the Guest, and the Host, which is collectively to be known as Floating Cottage, LLC, its owners, employees, trustees, heirs and/or assignees. As Guest, I take full responsibility and assume all liabilities to others caused entirely or partially by myself, my minor children, my friends and/or family members and their minor children that are staying or visiting me during my stay at the Floating Cottage. I fully understand that the liability that I am assuming extends to any bodily Injury, accidents, illnesses, paralysis, drowning and/or death, loss of personal property and expenses thereof as a result of any accident which may occur during my stay at the cottage. I completely understand, agree to and accept all liability for all persons staying or visiting me at the Floating Cottage during my stay even if these injuries, death, or loss of personal property were due to the negligence of the Host.
I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks associated with my stay at the Floating Cottage accommodation and I release the host, of any liability associated with my stay at this accommodation. I understand fully that this agreement is a contract that is legally binding upon me personally. I further understand that by the booking of my reservation, I am waiving valuable legal rights including any and all rights I may have against the Host. I also agree to hold the Host harmless and to indemnify the Host for any accidents, injuries and/or resulting deaths which may befall me, my guests and any minor children.

Guests of this cottage receive a 15% discount on boat rentals. In Old Town Sanford, guests will find a medley of great restaurants, shops, and art galleries, with a monthly "Alive After Five" event with music, food trucks, and art walks. Sanford also has the picturesque, mile-long Riverwalk, lined with shade trees, gazebos, and swinging benches where visitors can relax on the grass under the sun.
The area is a delight for bird-watchers with a plethora of varieties in beautiful surroundings. Nearby Merritt Island National Refuge and the Audubon Raptor Center are each within a 90-minute drive from the cottage and offer a world of wildlife observations. Boating upriver or driving to the Blue Springs and Crystal Springs areas offer unique opportunities to see and swim with manatees.
While the peace, wildlife, and beauty of the river location are the major draw to the cottage, those who covet a metropolitan excursion can motor to the greater Orlando area, with large tourist attractions like Universal Studios and Disney World in just an hour. The metropolitan Orlando area is extensive, with hundreds of restaurants, music venues, museums, art galleries, and sponsored city events to choose from. Guests of the bungalow can also venture into the Black Bear Wilderness Area or take advantage of the many foot and bike trails nearby.
