Many guests are surprised by just how much there is to do in this area. Apache National Forest is within close reach (across the street is Escudilla Mountain where the last Grizzly Bear was in the 1950's in Arizona (we now only have black bear in AZ), to the right 4th driveway on right and behind the property, but 1 neighbor behind has 20 acres and there is 2 fences to cross. Best to enter via Sipe National Forestry entrance back entrance 4th driveway/road or main 5 miles North. The Nelson Reservior for great fishing is only 2 miles away and there is The R Lazy J Wild life Ranch Zoo (https://rlazyjranch.com/) less than 10 miles away in Eagar with open bus tours. You can set an apt to directly feed Lemurs and or Sloths. Millions of acres of beautiful forestry, rolling hills and amazing hiking trails. Sunrise Ski Resort is within 35 miles of the property and is a great place for skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. For a historical and archaeological experience, guests can visit the Indian Ruins of Casa Malpais Archaeological Park and go on an exciting guided tour and visit the museum. Alpine Village is closely-located community area and has a wonderful small town feel to it, where guests can peruse the area for souvenirs and restaurants.
