This traditional adobe in Carson, New Mexico, called The Q, features an open floor plan with a living room and sleeping alcove, a well appointed kitchen, dining area, and full bathroom. There are no actual bedrooms in this house, but the large LR/BR has a king bed, a twin bed, and a comfy sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, the dining area seats six to eight guests. The full bathroom offers a large walk-in shower.

For larger groups, you can make use of additional sleeping quarters on the compound. The charming Stick Casita is a nearby guest house with a full bath and kitchenette, a bedroom with a full bed and a twin bed, and a daybed in the living area. Nearby is camper trailer, (no amenities) and 5 nice tent sites nestled in the piñons. There is a double-loop walking trail that extends across 22 acres as well as a sweet campfire pit near the Casita camper.

This unique property features many amenities that you will love. Radiant floor heat, a wood stove, and a sun-splashed solarium keep the accommodations toasty in winter, and excellent construction and proper siting keep them cool in the summer.

You can enjoy complimentary high-speed fiberoptic Wi-Fi in both the Q and the Stick Casita, a flat-screen TV, DVD player, and a nice stereo system with mp3 jack in the Q. Cable TV is not provided here; however, there is a great library of books and board games. Ample parking is also available on the premises.

The three miles of dirt roads are passable year-round and give the feeling that you are 'out there'. The Carson Cafe and Grocery are about three miles away if you need something or want a taste of local flavor. We don't allow pets, but there's a great kennel just 2 miles away on the drive in. The caretaker lives on the premises across the road and will welcome you with a brief orientation.

This area is one of the most beautiful in northern New Mexico, and the property itself is a gem! It's rare to find such tall piñon pines and junipers. Natives inhabited the land many years ago, so you might be lucky enough to find an arrowhead or relic left behind. Come spend time on this special land!

This is a beautiful place to come connect with nature AND be super centrally located to all the major northern NM points of interest, including the Orilla Verde Recreation Area in the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument and Ojo Caliente Spa & Mineral Springs. Taos is about 40 mins away, there are 4 great ski resorts about you can get to in more or less an hour, Ghost Ranch is 50 minutes, and Santa Fe is 90 minutes. There's also Bandelier and Puye, which are fantastic to visit. Come spend time on this special land!
