This yurt is located in Dixon, New Mexico, where it is situated on a peaceful property full of shrubs and trees, bordered by an organic farm, and abutted by the Embudo River. From the property, guests will enjoy picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. In nearly any direction guests travel, they will soon reach national forest lands belonging to either Santa Fe National Forest or Carson National Forest.

Santa Fe National Forest encompasses more than one million acres of mixed conifer, ponderosa pine, spruce-fir, and aspen forests, along with chaparral, sub-alpine grasslands, sagebrush shrublands, and deserts interspersed with mountains, canyons, mesas, streams, rivers, lakes, and more than 1,000 miles of trails. The forest provides habitats to an array of wildlife, including elk, deer, black bears, and turkeys. Carson National Forest, in turn, safeguards another million acres of mountains and woodlands that are home to wildlife such as bighorn sheep and antelope. Even more natural splendor can be found at Rio Grande Gorge State Park, which is just a 25-minute drive away.

There are a number of vineyards offering award-winning wines in the surrounding area, including Vivac, Black Mesa Vineyard, and La Chiripada, all of which are just minutes away from the site. Guests will find a few shops, restaurants, and art galleries right in Dixon, while many more options can be found in Santa Fe, which is an hour to the south.
