Platanal

A secluded town hidden in the Amazon of Venezuela, Platanal offers visitors a quaint town that serves as the entry point to a number of luscious natural reserves. Near the town, you’ll find Parque Nacional Parima Tapirapeco. It’s home to a wonderful range of landscapes, including a breathtaking coast backdropped by forested inlets and stoic plateau mountains. There’s also Parque Nacional do Pico da Neblina. The vast reserve is home to a tropical rainforest, cloud forests, and a number of plateau mountains that make for some of the best summit viewpoints. Those traveling to Platanal may not find much in the town when it comes to attractions, but nature-wise, Platanal is one of the best places to enjoy outdoor activities in Venezuela.
