Aragua

A state in Venezuela’s north-central region, Aragua is home to countryside, jungles, and exotic Caribbean beaches. Perhaps the best beach worth visiting is by the town of Choroní. Located north of Aragua, Choroní’s beach is surrounded by a mountain range that serves as the backdrop to Henri Pittier National Park. As such, those visiting this beach will have a dramatic coastline complementing their experiences with the lush sands and crystal blue waters. Another cool attraction is the city of Maracay—perhaps the most important city in Aragua. It’s home to a number of natural reserves, including Henri Pittier, and there are plenty of hills near the city offering breathtaking views. As such, those visiting Araguay will enjoy hearty adventures in the region’s outdoors.
