Located in the base camp area, this accommodation is ideal for guests travelling in standard 2WD vehicles while still providing beautiful scenery and a tranquil setting to unwind and reconnect with nature.

The Space

This charming, pet-friendly retreat is located in the heart of Wyangala, just two hours from Canberra, NSW. Whether you're looking to relax by the fire pit or embark on an outdoor adventure, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Spend a day fishing at Wyangala Dam, just 15 minutes away, or take a scenic 20-minute drive to Cowra to explore its famous Japanese Gardens and other local attractions.

This cozy 139-square-foot accommodation features convenient access to water, split-system air conditioning, a queen-size bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, and modern bathroom facilities. Amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower, making it an excellent choice for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the accommodation and all 6 kilometres of marked tracks, including both the main and side trails.

A 4WD vehicle is recommended for guests wishing to drive up the mountain for enhanced views and additional exploration opportunities.

Notice: A flying fox installation is planned for the near future.

For those looking to explore further, Cowra is only 20 minutes away and is home to the renowned Japanese Gardens, local museums, historical sites, and charming cafés.

Getting Around
By Car

The easiest way to reach the property is by car. Simply enter "Wyangala" into your GPS or preferred navigation app for the most accurate directions, travel times, and route information.

By Public Transport

Please note that there are no train services to Cowra or Wyangala. Private transportation is required to access the property.

Other Things to Note

• Child-friendly accommodation

• Potable water is provided

• No unregistered guests or visitors are permitted

• Please ensure the front gate is locked after entering or leaving

• Outdoor fire pits are available except during total fire ban periods

• Please ensure all fires are completely extinguished before departure

• Telstra and Optus provide limited mobile coverage; Vodafone, 2degrees, and Spark currently have no reception

• Firewood is available. Guests may collect their own or purchase it by the tub

• Extended stays or late check-outs may incur additional charges

• Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation. Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please ensure cigarette butts are fully extinguished and disposed of appropriately.

• Due to the property's rural location, insects and other wildlife may be encountered during your stay

• For stays of five nights or longer, an additional cleaning fee will apply to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and comfortable experience for all guests
