Luxury holiday rental in Huonville, Tasmania
This unique cottage rental is located in Huonville, Tasmania, and can accommodate two guests for a peaceful getaway to the Huon Valley. Originally a shed used for sorting and packing apples for the orchard that once stood on its property, the cottage has been thoughtfully renovated in a manner that combines modern amenities with historic charm, blending old, new, and repurposed elements into a harmonious whole.
The open-plan cottage has one bedroom area and one full bathroom. The bedroom area is set in a raised alcove and is furnished with a queen-size bed. Accessed through a rustic sliding door and tiled in a bold shade of red, the bathroom features a freestanding bathtub and a walk-in shower. High-quality linens and towels are provided.
In the living area, guests will find a sofa, a flat-screen television, a wood-burning stove, and shelves full of books and CDs, all of which are surrounded by 100-year-old hardwood flooring, a six-meter cathedral ceiling, and original artwork. The dining area boasts a handmade wooden table that can seat up to 10 guests. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with appliances such as an oven, a stove, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator.
Other amenities include a washer and dryer. A wall full of glass doors provides picturesque views of the surrounding countryside and provides access to the cottage's north-facing deck.
Inside the fully-insulated, double-glazed cottage, guests will enjoy amenities such as a wood-burning heater, a washer and dryer, a well-appointed kitchen, and a handmade dining table, all of which are set beneath a six-meter cathedral ceiling and surrounded by original artworks.
