Scenic views
This bed and breakfast right in the heart of Victoria's award-winning wine region is only a 90-minute drive from Melbourne and a 45-minute drive from Bendigo or Echuca. Heathcote is a former gold mining area, which now focuses on sheep farming and wine production. The views are spectacular and privacy and peaceful relaxation in a luxurious property are offered, together with free Wi-Fi, undercover car parking right outside the door, and the best dark sky location anywhere!

Guests can enjoy complimentary continental breakfast provisions on the sunny north facing verandah, or a delightful rest in the hanging chairs as they gaze towards the scenery beyond. Guests can toast to the day with a glass of the local brew as they watch the sunset from this unique vantage point.

Glampers should also wander over 100 acres at their leisure or relax in the indoor heated spa bath, watch a selection of DVDs, or listen to music.

Heathcote is famous for its wine country and Shiraz production, and it boasts fantastic places for wine tastings and tours. Glampers can play golf at a nearby course, go bushwalking, birdwatching, or antiquing. The hut is only 15 minutes away from the center of Heathcote, which has many fantastic restaurants for sampling the local cuisine, as well as shopping areas. Heathcote is where guests will find the Astronomical Society of Victoria, and where visitors find the ideal location from which to view the dark sky in Victoria if not the southern hemisphere, but best of all Heathcote is famous for producing excellent wines.

Only 90 minutes from Melbourne this location is no longer just a stopover for tourists visiting Bendigo and beyond, it's now a very popular destination to take wine tours and sample some excellent local vintages. For this is where the Shiraz grown is world class, where sheep and cattle grazing pastures have been transformed into vineyards and olive groves and where cellar doors are popping up at a rapid rate.
