This tiny house retreat delivers a great up-close experience to the raw hustle of nature.
Snag fresh fruit from the trees, and hand-feed sheep, chickens, and the resident cow. Birds come and go like clockwork at this holiday home, passing on chirps as they flutter by. When it’s time for a change of pace, pubs, breweries, and wine bars are just a 15-minute drive away.
The Space:
It's just 12 minutes from Rokeby, where paddocks meet the steady flow of Shady Creek. Hidden among towering deciduous trees, this holiday home trades the city grind for the rustle of leaves and open skies.
Spend the day chasing waterfalls at Toorongo Falls, sipping wine at Brandy Creek Winery, or heading up to Mt Baw Baw. Prefer a slower pace? Watch the mist rise over Blue Rock Dam or wander through Bunyip State Park—just you and the sound of nature.
A comfortable 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the tiny home and its immediate surroundings, including the area around the house and driveway. Paddock access is only permitted with the owner due to animal and electric fence risks.

- 15kg of firewood included. An additional 15kg is $15
- Small bird feed packets available for feeding native birds
- Feed bags provided for hand-feeding our friendly sheep
Guests are welcome to use the spacious cubby house next to the tiny house. It has a brick chimney to keep warm on cold or rainy nights and is great for drying wet gear or storing bikes and clothes. A cozy, useful space to make your stay even better!

Where hills meet rugged adventure. Just 12 minutes from Rokeby, this spot presents real, untamed Gippsland. Dairy farms shape the scenery, art galleries and boutique accommodations add a cultural flair, and the nearby Baw Baw ranges bring snow, trails, and raw nature.
It offers a quiet contrast, while Rokeby’s trails push hikers to earn their views. Brookbank plants you right in the middle of it—small in size, big in experience.

By Public Transport:
- Not practical.
- Would require a train to Warragul, a bus, then a 6 km walk.
- Taxis are available but limited.
By Flight:
- Closest Major Airport: Melbourne Tullamarine (MEL), about a 1 hr 45 min drive.
- Regional Airport: Latrobe Valley Airport, about a 50-minute drive.
- Car rental is recommended for convenience.
Other Things to Note:
- Electric BBQ grill is available
- Up to 3 pets allowed if leashed or contained
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Tractors may operate late at night during hay season
- Smoking is allowed in designated areas of the property
- Mobile reception has weak signals for Telstra; No signals for the rest
- Farm sounds include cattle, sheep, and occasional barking dogs (enclosed)
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock the doors when leaving the tiny house/ property
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Pet Guidelines:
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- Pets should be kept on a lead at all times
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas.
- Clean after your pet’s droppings
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out, courtesy of other guests
Important note:
- Flowing creek—exercise caution
- Electric fences should be off, but may still be live
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more (or for bookings of 5 nights or more), an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
