Cabin in Central Huron, Ontario
8 guests
This waterfront log cabin, based in the city of Goderich, was originally constructed in the 19th century and sits on the shore of the serene Lake Huron. The cabin has two floors and has been designed with hand hewn log walls on its exterior and interior, creating a rustic elegance throughout the property, Guests will love the historic architecture of the cabin with parts of the structure coming from an original 19th century log cabin from the town of Dunganan, 20 kilometers away from Goderich.
There are four bedrooms in the log cabin with each room featuring a queen-size bed and ample space for storage as well as one bathroom that includes a hand basin, a toilet, and a spacious shower. The fully equipped kitchen features modern amenities including an oven, a stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator while there is plenty of space for several chefs as well as a dining table that sits four glampers. The living area is the ideal place to chill out after a day on the lake with the wood stove warming up the cabin, and the sound of the waves providing a relaxing soundtrack for the evening.
The property comes with a large firepit in the garden where superb views of Lake Huron can be enjoyed while, at night, it makes for a great spot to marvel at the stars, share stories, and roast s’mores. There is a barbecue grill available for guests to have meals outside in the sun, as well as outdoor seating and tables.
