Los Lagos is a Chilean region located in the southern part of the country. It borders with Argentina on the east and most of its territory faces the Pacific Ocean. The region is famous for its variety of stunning outdoors landscapes, including forests, lakes, islands and volcanoes. Right outside Puerto Montt, the largest city in the region, youll find Lahuen Nadi Park, renowned for its millennia-old trees. Other main parks are Llanquihue National Reserve and Puyehue National Park, where youll be able to explore the volcanoes pf Pulyehe and Calbuco. This beautiful region is also home to the archeological site of Monte Verde, which has been dated to almost 13,000 BC!
