This tree house-style log cabin rental is located near Barrington Tops National Park, New South Wales, and can accommodate eight guests for a peaceful getaway to a secluded natural setting. It is set on a 250-acre property bursting with the lush foliage of the temperate rainforest. Featuring hardwood floors, wood-paneled walls, and exposed beams, the cabin's large arrays of windows and wrap-around veranda provide plenty of natural light and immersive views of its flora-filled surroundings.
This NSW accommodation is well appointed with all the appliances and technology guests will need to make their stay easy and comfortable. The exterior of the rental is robust and rustic, while the interior is a mix of quaint and contemporary.
Guests at this Barrington Tops accommodation will find the two bedrooms upstairs. Each boasts a comfortable queen-size bed and a double sofa bed. Crisp cotton sheets, fluffed pillows, snuggly warm doonas, and thick blankets are all supplied to ensure guests' stay is as hassle-free as possible. Along with the bedrooms, guests will find the second lounge room with a three-seater sofa with a chaise lounge, a small coffee table, and a wall-mounted, 60-inch SmarTV with a Blu-ray player. In the bathroom, guests will find a shower, a vanity with a large mirror, a separate toilet, and a great view of the forest. Thick, absorbent towels, face washers, a hand towel, and a foot mat are all supplied. In the lounge room, guests can relax on the comfortable lounge, set their cup of tea on the coffee table, and catch a sighting or two of the native wildlife through any of the large windows covering the cabin. Alternatively, they can turn on the movie they've been waiting to watch on the wall-mounted SmarTV with a DVD player. There is also a small Bluetooth speaker in the TV cabinet for guests to make use of.
The cabin's kitchen is brand new and built with functionality in mind. It boasts an electric oven, a gas stove, an overhead range, a fridge, a dishwasher, a microwave, a Nespresso coffee machine, all necessary cookware, and tableware.
Just outside the kitchen, guests have a gas barbecue and outdoor setting to enjoy. The outdoor fire pit is always popular, and guests can bring marshmallows for s'mores.
Guests should note that there is limited cell phone service, but Wi-Fi is available to all guests. The property's location, however, does affect the connection speed and quality.
Inside the property, guests will find amenities such as a fully-equipped kitchen, a television with a DVD player, heating, a fireplace, and ironing equipment. Outside, they will find a balcony, a patio, and a barbecue grill.

The conservation area provides habitats for an abundance of wildlife living amid Australian red cedar, native tamarins, rose maple, and wet sclerophyll eucalyptus forests. A variety of marsupials call the conservation area home, including eastern grey kangaroos, greater gliders, koalas, and parma wallabies. Other local fauna includes tiger quolls, masked owls, glossy black cockatoos, rufous bettongs, potaroos, barred frogs, Parma wallabies, and superb lyrebirds.
While the site feels remote and provides guests with plenty of seclusion in an immersive natural setting, it is also only a 20-minute drive from the charming town of Dungog, where guests will find shops, cafes, pubs, a microbrewery, antique stores, an art gallery, and supermarket, along with the James Theatre, which is the oldest continuously running movie theater in Australia. The site is about one hour from Newcastle Airport.
