The small town of Clam Gulch, on the western shore of the Kenai Peninsula, is rightfully renowned for its incredible razor clam harvests. Perhaps the best-known spot of all in this region is the Clam Gulch State Recreation Area, where hundreds of thousands of razor clams are collected annually. Most clam-digging is done from April through September and is considered best in early summer. But there's so much more to the region than just delicious clams - in fact, Clam Gulch has phenomenal views of the region from its majestic bluffs.
