Valley View

First settled in 1870 by white pioneers, Valley View, Texas was presumably named for the vista at Spring Creek Valley. The climate here is humid subtropical, meaning summers can be extremely hot and humid. Always make sure you drink plenty of water, and be sure to find a good body of water to cool off in. Valley View lies just to the west of Lake Ray Roberts where visitors can go swimming, boating, fishing, paddleboarding, or just relax along the lakeshore. Ray Roberts Lake State Park has heavily wooded hiking and equestrian trails around the lake, along with a marina for boating. The Red River to the north flows into Lake Texoma, which shares a border with Oklahoma and is another great place to cool off. Make Valley View, Texas your next glamping destination.
