This accommodation is located in Kopu, North Island, a small village on the banks of the Waihou River. Kopu is close to the mouth of the Waihou River as it dumps out into the Firth of Thames, a large bay on the south side of the Hauraki Gulf. To the northeast is the Coromandel Forest Park, a large protected area that occupies most of the Coromandel Peninsula. To the west is the city of Auckland, the largest city and capitol of New Zealand. The city also has the closest airport, Auckland Airport, which is about an hour away by car.

The cottage is located on a working farm, and guests are encouraged to head to the cowshed and help out with milking the cows! The property is a swimming pool, so guests can enjoy a swim on a hot summer day. The Waihou River is a great spot for fishing, with the crystal clear waters being home to an abundance of rainbow and brown trout. Glampers can head up north to the Coromandel Forest Park and enjoy the many hiking and biking trails in the park with scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The city of Auckland is also an hour away by car, so hop in and head up to the city to check out great bars, shops, and restaurants to try the local cuisine.
