The property is a convenient hour and a half away from Aukland International Airport, and only about an hour from central Aukland, which is a major city on the North Island. An easy 20-minute drive will bring glampers to the largest nearby town of Warkworth, where they will find a post office, a library, medical centers, and two large supermarkets. The peninsula includes Whisper Cove, Brick Bay, Snells Beach, Algies Bay, Scott's Landing, Martins Bay and Scandrett Regional Park. Snells beach offers a wide range of charming shops and restaurants.

The kids will enjoy taking advantage of two playground areas. Bird-watchers will want to visit Tiritiri Matangi, which is an island bird sanctuary with some of the world's rarest species. Goat Island marine reserve, on the other hand, invites explorers to dive into the undersea world through snorkeling. Other local activities can include surfing, golfing, and horseback riding.
