At Kiwi 360, where nearly all of New Zealand´s kiwifruit is grown, guests can take a tour of the orchards, shop for souvenirs, and try interesting kiwi juices, wines, and liqueurs. For shopping, guests can visit downtown Te Puke´s main street, which is lined with many boutique shops, or the city of Tauranga.
There are several hiking options in the area. The Mount Maunganui Mauao summit walk reaches the 232-meter summit, and the Base Track Walk is a very popular walk with amazing views of Tauranga and Matakana Island. For a less strenuous hike, guests may enjoy the shorter walks at Mount Otanewainuku. Guests can play golf at the Te Puke Golf Club or go fishing in the Mangorewa River.
