Around the farm, guests will find fruit orchards, vegetable gardens, and a variety of animals, including alpacas, cows, horses, pigs, goats, and border terriers. Right off the property to the east, the coastal waters of Whangaruru Harbour await guests' enjoyment, while the lush ferns, open bush, and magnificent kauri trees of Russell Forest lie just a five-minute drive to the west.

The accommodation is about 45 minutes from the historic town of Russell and an hour from the scenically backdropped city of Whangarei, which is full of shops, restaurants, and galleries. It is about three hours from Auckland, where the nearest international airport is located.

On water, guests can go kayaking or boating directly from the property or from the public boat ramp that is located just a two-minute drive from the accommodation. Guests are welcome to borrow the hosts' kayaks, or they can bring their own. While exploring the coastal waters, guests can also go fishing, with equipment available to rent from the host and charters available from the host & local companies.

For hiking, guests can visit Cape Brett, the Whangamumu Whaling Station, the Ngaiotonga Kauri Grove Walk, or Arthur Forest, where guests will find the Punaruku Track and the Papakauri Track. The hosts can drop off and pick up guests at their hiking destinations.

At the property itself, guests can watch and feed the farm's animals, which include chickens, pigs, goats, cows, and alpacas. They can also watch or try their hand at making raw milk, cream, and butter. Experienced riders may also go riding on one of the farm's horses.
