Situated in its own private valley near Reefton, New Zealand, this eco-friendly room rental can accommodate two guests. The communal living room has a glowing fireplace that's perfect for unwinding next to after a full day of adventures. Outside, there is a bright sunny deck for guests to enjoy.
The hosts are dedicated to keeping the operating amenities of this property completely eco-friendly. Guests can view the five-meter water wheel that supplies the property's electricity as well as a sparkling pond that's filled with native fish, including crayfish. There is also easy access to various walking tracks that echo the past gold rush of the late 1800s. Other amenities include a laundry facility.

Those looking for more adventure can go whitewater kayaking down the Ahaura River or take on mountain biking on the West Coast Wilderness Trail that is made up of rainforests, glacial rivers, and wetlands. For those who just want a tranquil time in nature, the Omotumotu Bush Walk is a 25-minute forest loop.
