Catlins Coast has so much to offer in terms of natural beauty, with spectacular waterfalls, the Cathedral Caves, Jack’s Blowhole, bush walks, penguin viewing, horse treks, a golf course, and canoeing all just a short drive away. Surat Bay is the home to many sea lions, seabirds, and native birds, all of which can be viewed in their natural environment. New Haven has many companies to rent scuba and snorkeling equipment from, as well as gear for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. Guests can wander the gardens of Paradise Park or spend a relaxing day fishing and basking in the sun. This part of New Zealand is truly an amazing place to spend some time outdoors.
