There is also an easy one-day mountain bike trip (about 25 kilometers), which follows a back country road from Walter Peak to Mount Nicholas, allowing guests to catch a peek of the western shores of Lake Wakatipu. The more adventurous can do the overnight trip, called the 'Around the Mountains' trail that runs through the Von Valley to the Mavora Lakes.
