This tranquil lakeside cottage is located on the shores of Lake Benmore, just 22km from Twizel in South Island, and can accommodate four guests. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom.

The first bedroom has a super king-size bed which can be converted into two single beds to accommodate guests' needs. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, and towels and linens are provided. Guests can enjoy unobstructed views of the ski from each room and enjoy gazing at the stars at night. The shared bathroom has a shower, a toilet, and a sink.

The modern and bright living area features a comfy sofa, a leather armchair, and a wood burning fireplace.

The fully-equipped kitchen has all appliances such as a refrigerator, an oven, a stove, and handy extras such as storage space and a dining table offering space for four.

Outside, as well as direct access to Lake Benmore, guests can enjoy roaming around the expansive grassy space surrounding the cottage. There is also a large patio with comfy furniture and beautiful views of the lake and the mountains, so guests can truly relax and unwind from daily life.

Guests will have access to a range of facilities such as Wi-Fi, free parking on premise, and an indoor fireplace. The property is supported by solar and gas, so there is a warming log wood burner to stay toasty.

Direct access to Lake Benmore is also available in just two minutes, and there is a sheltered mooring for a boat.

With Lake Benmore on the doorstep, the location is great to enjoy water sports such as fly-fishing, boating, and swimming. The stunning area is also perfect for hikers, offering plenty of trails which stretch around the water. Ohau Canal is another close spot which is popular for its fishing and can be reached in a short drive.

Guests are welcome to bring their mountain bikes or horses to explore the surroundings and enjoy the High Country Air. The terrain surrounding the property is perfect for hikers, and Mount Cook offers endless alpine activities such as glacier exploring, hiking, biking, and photography. Aoraki Mount Cook Village is an hour away, and The Hermitage has a café and a top class restaurant to enjoy.

Sunset watching over the lake is also a great activity for guests in this property, with the stunning views surrounding the area. As this location is off-the-grid, it is also a perfect spot for star-gazing.

Nearby in Twizel, is the beautiful Lake Ruataniwha, and guests can take a novel Lord of the Rings Tour of the surrounding terrain. This area also offers plenty of eateries and shops. HYDRO Café has a beautiful range of fresh counter food, and High Country Salmon lets guests dine on delicious salmon, or purchase some to cook back at the property.
