Porto, often referred to as “The Invincible City,” is known for its witty and colorful population, giving the city a unique cultural flair. The downtown area of Porto is also known for its stunning Baroque architectural elements throughout the city, as well as a bustling shopping district, complete with quirky antique shops and local brands. The Contemporary Art Museum in Porto definitely deserves a visit as well. Other towns and villages nearby include Vila Real, the fishing village of Povo de Varzim, and Viana do Castelo.
