There is a local annual festival, the Fiesta de Cascamorras, which happens every year on September 6th. In 2006, it was declared a "National Tourist Interest" in Spain, and it may be fun for glampers to plan their vacation around this festival in Guadix. In addition to the Sierra Nevada range and all that it has to offer, this glamping site is also close to a number of charming towns, such as Jerez del Marquesado and La Calahorra, that guests should most certainly visit. Guests can go ATVing or play paddleball or pentanque on-site. In the summer, there is an outdoor pool open for all guests to use, too. Come nighttime, there is very little light pollution, which allows for excellent stargazing conditions all year round.

For a weekend stay, the hosts recommend a relaxing schedule, including little more than a tranquil dinner out in Guadix at one of the local dining establishments, such as Boabdil, La Tinaja, or Granadul. Waking up on Saturday, guests should get ready for a full day of outdoor adventure at the Sierra Nevada National Park, later heading to the lovely small towns of the Marquesado del Cenete area. Guests can also go on an easy hike to the "End of the World," or Fin del Mundo, which is only 10 minutes from the glamping property. Don't forget to stop at a wonderful pastry shop, La Oriental, on the way home, located in the Guadix town hall square. On Sunday, go for churros for breakfast in Guadix, and then explore this charming city, including a comfortable ride around town on the tourist train.
