This family-friendly cabin is located near Gore Mountain Ski Resort in Bakers Mills, New York, and can accommodate eight guests with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Between hiking, biking, skiing, and birdwatching, the Adirondack Mountains provide year-round recreation for families, couples, and groups. Black Mountain has hiking trails, wildlife, small ponds, and a fire tower at the top. Prospect Mountain is another popular hiking spot. Guests can take off for a day of hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, boating, or fishing for trout, bass, and perch at Siamese Ponds Wilderness. The 50-foot waterfall at Shelving Rock Falls, on Lake George, makes for a great photograph. Lake George is a beautiful spot for waterskiing, swimming, and boating.

Gore Mountain Ski Resort offers downhill skiing, lessons, and camps for kids. During the summer, visitors can take gondola rides to the top of the mountain. Saratoga Spa State Park has a golf course, a pool, picnic tables, hiking and cross-country skiing trails, fishing, ice skating, and a playground, as well as a performing arts center. History buffs will want to check out the 18th-century Fort Ticonderoga or Fort William Henry Museum and Restoration, the 1775 British fort featured in the movie "The Last of the Mohicans."
