Inside the rental, glampers will find a total of four bedrooms, two of which each come with a king-size bed, while the other two each come with two twin beds. Both of the king-size bedrooms are located on the second floor, one of which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to the front of the accommodation. The twin bedroom on the main floor features an additional children's bed that pulls out from under one of the two aforementioned twin beds. Meanwhile, on the lower level, guests will find an additional room with a bunk bed and a twin bed. There is also a full-size, pull-out sofa in the living room to accommodate additional guests.
There are two full bathrooms, as well—each of which comes with a heat light, a combination shower and bathtub, a sink, and a toilet. The hosts provide sheets, blankets, pillows, and mattress and pillow protectors, in addition to bath towels, hand towels, and wash clothes.
As the focal point of this lovely rental is a floor-to-ceiling, river rock fireplace, which is not only easy on the eyes, but also nicely warms up the home. In addition, there is a new wood-burning fireplace to keep the space cozy no matter what the temperature is like outside.
The fully-equipped kitchen is decked out in new appliances, as well, including a microwave, a toaster, an oven, and a dishwasher. Additionally, guests will have a full-size fridge, a coffeemaker, all necessary pots and pans, and dining space for up to 16 people—which includes a farmhouse table that seats 12 and four stools at the kitchen counter. Kitchen towels, cloths, sponges, and scrubbies are also provided, as well as some basic pantry items, such as sea salt and peppercorn grinders, coconut oil, coffee filters, and cloths for cleaning up messes. (The property is earth-friendly and does not use nor provide paper towels.)
Other amenities include a full-size washer and dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi, Roku TV, and an assortment of games and books, including classic board games, playing cards, puzzles, crafts, Lincoln Logs, and more. Moreover, the hosts provide some professionally-sharpened hockey skates, sleds, life vests (for both adults and children), and water sports gear.
Outside, glampers will find a propane barbecue for grilling out when weather permits, in addition to a deck that goes out from the living room and runs the entire width of the accommodation. On the second floor, each of the king-size bedrooms each has its own private deck, complete with Adirondack chairs. Guests are sure to enjoy kicking back in seclusion and listening to the peaceful sounds of the surrounding woodlands and the sounds of the neighborhood owls and chipmunks.

There is no air conditioning, but for the rare hot day, fans are provided by the hosts to keep guests nice and cool.
Guests should note that there are spiral staircases in the accommodation.

Septic: The property is on a septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than human waste and toilet paper. No feminine products, food waste, condoms, paper towels, tissues should be flushed.
No dying hair and using towels supplied with the property.
No food in the bedrooms. We do not have a mouse problem and wish to keep it that way.
•Shoes are to be removed and left in (tile) mudroom (on driveway level). No shoes on main (living room) level or loft level. The lowest level is all tile and you have plenty of room there to get settled and leave your shoes.
Storage of NON-MOTORIZED sports equipment is acceptable on the first (driveway) level. Acceptable equipment includes but is not limited to skis, snowboards, boots, kayaks, canoes, bicycles, sleds, fishing equipment.
**Note, rarely, but possibly, the owner will stay in the private studio space. This is attached to the house but with a separate entrance. Please let us know before you agree to stay if this is of concern to you. Thank you.

The Adirondacks region of Upstate New York provides countless opportunities for fun and adventure, as well as relaxation, all year round. In the wintertime, guests can take advantage of the rentals close proximity to Whiteface Mountain, which offers up top-notch winter sports conditions for the skiers and snowboarders of the group.
In Lake Placid, glampers will be able to find outdoor adventures to be had no matter the season, as well, including going for a stroll around Mirror Lake; getting in the water with a kayak or canoe or going fishing; cross-country skiing, skating, and even extreme tobogganing; hiking one of the area's 46 High Peaks; and so much more.
Perhaps less spoken of—but certainly no less exciting—is the Ausable Chasm, which is often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks," and is a truly a sight to be seen. At the Ausable Chasm, they will be able to take a tour, but also get their blood pumping by going cliff hiking, mountain biking, and river rafting.
Come summertime, or when weather permits, guests can also go swimming at Lake Wilmington, which is just eight miles from the rental. Other must-sees include the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehab Center, which includes a wolf sanctuary, and the many Olympic sites around the Adirondack region. For more suggestions, the hosts are always available via text, email, or phone call both before and during guests' stay and happy to give local recommendations. They have tons of information to share and love doing so!

Rates are listed for two guests. There is an additional fee of $20 per guest, per night, after the first two guests. Up to 14 guests can be accommodated here.
Two days before check-in, the host will send guests the exact physical address and the door code via email so they can access the accommodation.
For guests' security, there is a ring doorbell camera at the entrance to the accommodation, which faces out towards the driveway.
No Smoking nor illegal substances or activities are permitted anywhere on the property. No parties are permitted.
Dogs are not automatically approved. The hosts will discuss with guests, then let them know if they are approved. Only dogs registered as overnight guests are allowed on the property. No other pets/animals are permitted. This property is very dog-friendly, and there is no extra fee involved. Guests are provided with two "baby" gates—one for indoor use and one for outdoor use—so the dog can get in plenty of play time while staying safe and out of harm's way.
Property is not ADA compliant nor infant proof. Access to the property is via stairs and a spiral staircase.

On the first floor of the accommodation, there is an all-tile space, where guests can put a dog bed and put up the dog gate if they are going out and do not want to bring the dog along. This eliminates the need to crate the dog, as well as to have to pack a bulky crate. This part of the accommodation is also a great area for storing non-motorized sports gear, including bicycles, kayaks, fishing gear, ski boots, skis, luge sleds, and more.
A fun fact about this property is that proceeds will go to help fund the hosts' 11-year-old daughter to train on the U.S.' Olympic luge team.
