Escape to an Organic Farm in the Catskill Mountains, New York
The tents at this getaway rental property in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York sit in the gentle, shady hills of the property's organic farm, not far from its beautiful red barn and along the meandering Stony Creek.
Each tent features a double bed, a bunk bed, and a canopy bed. Inside the tent, there is also a toilet, a cooking stove, a chest, and a dining area. A small bathroom conceals a flush toilet. A short stroll across a foot bridge brings guests to the industrial, open air shower house, which has four stalls: two family-size and two individual.
Glampers won’t find anywhere to plug their phone in (except for in the farm store); the tents are intentionally off-grid to help guests appreciate the finer things in life. Hike the hills for a breathtaking view of the valley, jump in the crystal clear pond, or follow the creek into the woods.
DIY books, homesteading magazines, board games and a basic art supplies can be found in the farm store for rainy afternoons or post-hike relaxing. There is also an inviting communal campfire for all guests to use.
The farm's follows free-range, organic practices, which also means that the animals' grazing diet includes local, natural grains. Everything grown and raised on the farm is sold at the Franklin Farmer’s market in the state of New York in the summer. Glampers will also find all the farm's produce in the farm's store, conveniently located in the iconic red barn, with everything required to prepare a delicious and healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner. On-site guests will also find a wood burning brick oven for making pizza and bread, and a group fire pit for cozy campfires.
