This lakefront property is located just minutes from the Elk Mountain Ski Resort. A stone’s throw away from the pristine waters of the private Crystal Lake, this one-story home offers guests the chance to swim, fish, and kayak on the lake, or even just take a leisurely stroll around its 2.8-mile long perimeter. For those seeking an outdoor retreat, the countryside around Crystal Lake is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including deer, turkeys, and foxes, as well as geese, ducks, and waterfowl. During hunting season, licensed hunters are free to roam in the Pennsylvania State Game Land.
To the northwest, Lackawanna State Park offers 1,411 acres of hiking trails, lakes, and campsites just waiting to be explored. Just an hour north on the I-81 S leads any antique collectors to Antique Row in Binghamton, and the cities of Montrose, Wilkes-Barre, Fleetville, Tunkhannock and Scranton, all within an hour’s drive, offer not just antiques, but also shopping malls, restaurants, museums, cultural centers, specialty shops, and minor league baseball stadiums. In fall, guests can enjoy the beautiful yellow and orange hues of the changing leaves and tranquility of the lake, and in winter the main attractions are skiing and snowboarding on Elk Mountain. For those not wanting to venture too far from the lake itself, ice-skating and ice fishing are also available in winter.
