This well-appointed modern cabin on 20 acres overlooking a pond and mountain meadow is perfect for up to two guests to enjoy a relaxing unplugged vacation surrounded by natural beauty.
Inside this gorgeous dwelling, guests have everything they need to sink into ease surrounded on all sides by stunning natural views and some luxurious touches to make their stay special.
The timber-framed vaulted great room features spectacular 180-degree views of the forest, pond, and meadow with 15-foot ceilings bound to inspire. In the evening, guests can dine overlooking the pond and meadow, then cozy up on the couch with a book or loved one next to the modern Jotul propane stove.
Outside, the 180-degree wrap-around two-tiered deck merges with the house and the landscape, offering guests a seamless natural experience.
In the bedroom, guests can sink into the king-size Tuft and Needle bed, complete with luxury bedding and views into the forest.
The bathroom is an exceptional retreat into tranquillity. In addition to all the basics, it features a heated floor, an open rainfall shower, and a deep restored 1890s clawfoot cast iron soaking tub with views of the hillside and forest.
High-quality linens, bedding, and towels are provided.
The full kitchen is equipped with everything guests need to cook delicious meals and a cozy desk nook perfect for journaling or writing a novel. Granite countertops and high-quality cookware, and many thoughtful touches make this stay special, including a variety of herbal teas and even different types of coffeemakers for every guest's preference.
The modern furnishings and decor and beautiful maple hardwood floors and views in all directions will elevate the experience with lots of special touches to help guests unwind and enjoy.
Upstairs, in the meditation loft, guests can gaze into the forest from far above, practice yoga, meditate, read or just put their feet up and relax. This unique space is furnished with a reading chair that expands to a cot for an afternoon nap and includes yoga mats, yoga blocks, and relaxation pillows.
The outdoors at this property is an extension of the experience inside, with everything guests need to relax. Guests can hike the private trail, explore the 20 private acres, or just sit back and pass the time near the tranquil pond, in the hammock, or on the deck. In warmer months, enjoy a barbecue, take a dunk in the pond, and refresh in the outdoor shower (seasonal). The dark skies provide stunning star-gazing all year round, enabled by the lack of light pollution and seclusion of this peaceful and secluded escape in the heart of central Pennsylvania.

The property is located in the heart of the beautiful Central Pennsylvania mountains─a top destination for outstanding hiking, biking, and outdoor recreation in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
This beautifully designed timber-framed modern retreat house is designed to be an unplugged experience immersed in nature. There are no visible neighbors and there is no landline, no WiFi, and no TV. Instead, there is an extremely beautiful and unique natural environment with gorgeous views from every room, as well as games, a record player, and endless entertainment watching the constant changes in the pond, the forest, and the meadow.
Guests shouldn't worry, they won’t fall completely off the grid - unless they want to.
There is a cellular service via Verizon and ATT although depending on the carrier, guests may need to wander in the house a bit to find the spot that has the most coverage. (If access to the internet is vital for guests, they may want to look into bringing their own hotspot. Guests have used the Skyroam Solis hotspot at the cabin).
An all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle is required for access in the winter.
No hunting, fishing, or firearms are permitted on the property.

The 20 acre forested property is home to a private mile-long hiking trail that features a secluded pond, streams, forests and meadows. The property is backed by/adjacent to thousands of acres of state forest land and there are many hiking and biking trails in the nearby Bald Eagle and Rothrock State Forests.
The hosts provide lots of special touches for guests to relax, and unplug or practice yoga on the expansive deck, in the meditation loft or in the main Sanctuary room including yoga mats and blocks, and meditation cushions.
There is a box for guests to put their mobile phones for the duration of their stay should they wish to remain fully disconnected. An array of books, games, and records, along with the expansive view of the forest and pond and the 20 acres of beautiful, private forested property and a turn of the century restored soaking tub in the luxury modern bathroom will keep guests endlessly entertained as they unplug, relax and enjoy.
