Among four bedrooms and a loft space, guests will find various combinations of full and twin-size beds, including three fold-away Murphy beds in the game room. Towels and linens are kindly provided.

There are two living spaces for guests to relax in, one upstairs and one on the ground level. With plenty of armchairs and sofas, guests can relax in either, and the ground level living space boasts a wood-burning stove to add to the cozy aesthetic of the rental. The fully-equipped kitchen has all the cookware and utensils necessary to prepare great meals.

Outside, guests have a deck to sit out on and enjoy the woodland surroundings of this unique rental. They can also enjoy a mouthwatering barbecue on the outdoor grill, perhaps grilling a freshly caught fish. The rental has an acre of private land around it that leads seamlessly into the public land and to the stunning lake where there is an abundance of outdoor activities to keep everyone busy.

The property has been fitted out with all the modern comforts a 21st-century traveler could need. There is both central air conditioning and heating so guests will be comfortable whatever the weather, and there is also a wood-burning stove for a cozy night in. There is an abundance of rural activities available to guests here. There are miles and miles of hiking trails to explore through the woods of the national forest and the nearby state park. A lot of these routes can be explored on a bicycle as well. The lake is ideal for those who enjoy fishing. With bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish in the lake, there is ample opportunity to get a good haul in for a hard-earned dinner.

Provided visitors sign in at the relevant stations and abide by the rules and regulations of the state forests, there are hundreds of acres perfect for a day of hunting. Even if hunting is not an interest, guests can explore the forests and enjoy trying to catch sight of all the wildlife that calls this forest home. Since the rental is right on the lake, this is an ideal spot for boating, canoeing, or kayaking. Gilligan's boat rental nearby offers a discount to guests of the rental. Patoka Lake is famous as Indiana's cleanest lake, and as such, it is perfect for a swim.
