There are many great activities on offer in this region, no matter what time of year it is. During the winter months, this property is very popular for its proximity to snow-based adventures. The property is located right on the snowmobile and ATV trails, so guests can enjoy miles of exciting rides through the forest. The resort of Valley Spur is 20 minutes away, offering organized cross-country skiing, dog sledding, and mountain biking, and for downhill skiing and snowboarding, glampers can travel to Marquette Mountain, just over 30 miles to the west.

This property is surrounded by breathtaking rivers and lakes, and this makes it an ideal base for those who love water sports. The host provides two single kayaks, a double kayak, and a double canoe, with flotation devices, for guests to use on the Au Train River. There are also great opportunities for swimming and fishing. Even in winter, the surrounding area is fantastic for ice fishing.

Glampers who enjoy bright lights and entertainment should take a trip to the Kewadin Casino in nearby Christmas, where they will find Vegas-style games, such as slots, blackjack, and poker, as well as a comedy night every Thursday. The town of Christmas is a must-see in itself, as all of the local businesses have taken on a Yuletide theme, with roadside Santas, elves, and reindeer.

Another sight not to be missed is the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Here, colorful sandstone cliffs rise dramatically from Lake Superior. These are best seen by boat, with chartered trips running from the town of Munising. Those who choose to visit on foot can enjoy scenic overlooks, hiking trails, beaches, and waterfalls.

Nature lovers will be in their element here, as this is a prime location for bird watching. The region is home to a great many species, including owls, eagles, and ospreys.
