Inside, there are two bedrooms, one full bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. In each of the two bedrooms, guests will find a queen-size bed. The living room contains a full-size futon, on which guests can sleep as well. It also contains armchairs and a television with a DVD player and satellite service. Linens are provided.
In the fully-equipped kitchen, guests will find a refrigerator, an oven, a stove, a microwave, a toaster, and a coffee machine. Other amenities include air conditioning and heating. Outside, guests have a front deck, a rear deck, a fire pit, a barbecue grill, and a picnic table.

The site is about two and a half hours from St. Louis, three hours from Memphis, and a little over three hours from Springfield. It is about an hour and a half from Cape Girardeau, where the nearest airport is located.

On Lake Wappapello, guests can go swimming, boating, jet skiing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boating, with rentals available on site. Fishers will find a variety of fish species in the lake, including white bass, largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie. On the trails of Lake Wappapello State Park, guests can go hiking, biking, and horseback riding. In the park, they will also find a pre-Civil War cemetery to visit. At the site itself, guests can have picnics, cookouts, and gatherings at their picnic table, grill, and fire pit.
