About this place
This wooded cabin is located in Birchwood, Wisconsin, just two hours from Minneapolis, and can accommodate six guests. There is one bedroom and one full bathroom. The bedroom has a full-size bed and a twin-size bed, and there are two more futons in the cabin for the extra sleeping room. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Linens and towels are provided.
In the living room, aside from fantastic views of Big Chetac Lake, guests will find comfortable furniture and a fireplace, as well as a large dining table, and plenty of room for dinner and games. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a fridge and freezer, a microwave and a toaster, as well as all of the kitchen equipment guests may need to whip up a tasty meal. There is also air conditioning, meaning guests can stay comfortably in the warmer months, too.
Outside, there is a barbecue grill, as well as a large, wooden deck with patio furniture, perfect for enjoying some time outside in the fresh air, surrounded by the trees with the stunning lake views.
All cabins are equipped with air conditioning and either a fireplace or wood-burning stove, meaning guests can be comfortable all year. There are hundreds of books in the library at the property, as well as free ice cream in the freezer. A canoe is also available for use from the special dock for launching canoes. The 8-foot by 12-foot communal deck is a great place to kick back and relax in the peace and quiet so easily found at the property, and guests can use the free dock space for one boat when renting a cabin.
If not, a 14-foot long aluminum fishing boat can be provided with each rental, and motors are also available for rent nearby. A recently constructed fish house is a great place for guests to clean and store their catch during their stay. In case there is a long queue for the bathroom when staying at the cabin, there is also a communal shower room and a communal bathroom for all guests to use, too.

There are hundreds of activities for guests to get out and enjoy. Starting right on Lake Chetac, numerous bays and inlets make for great fishing spots, as well as multiple public boat launches giving easy access to the lake. Swimming, water skiing, and canoeing are all great options for a day of fun on the lake, as well as kayaking, paddle boating, and jet skiing too. Visitors can also enjoy picnicking, relaxing, and sunbathing on the 16-mile long stretch of sandy beaches.
Within 30 minutes of the town, there are over eight golf courses for any enthusiasts to go and enjoy, and the Little Sis/Green Lake non-motorized trail is a great place for hiking and biking during the warmer months, and skiing in the winter months. Spider Lake Ranch is a family-owned and operated horseback riding stable, allowing visitors to explore the first trails, and offering both riding instruction and experienced guides. Plenty of dining options are available, too, for those nights when nobody wants to cook, such as the rustic and relaxing Paul’s Pizza Den, or the Spider Lake Saloon, a popular stop on the snowmobile trails.
