The first bedroom is a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a television, a full ensuite bathroom with a shower, and doors leading to the rental's patio. Guests will find a queen-size bed in the second bedroom, two twin beds in the third bedroom, another two twin beds in the fourth bedroom, and a queen-size bed and a twin bed in the fifth bedroom. Each of the other two bathrooms is fitted with a combination bathtub/shower. Linens and towels are provided.
The main level of the rental features a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, and a four-season porch that all open onto each other. In the living room, guests will find an array of sofas and sofa chairs arranged around a wood-burning brick fireplace and a flat-screen television. The four season porch contains another array of seating and another flatscreen television. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with stainless steel appliances, including an oven, a stove, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher, along with a toaster and a coffeemaker. The dining area seats six.
In the game room/bar area, guests will find a pool table, a six-person bar table, a wet bar with stools, and three televisions. There is also a sunroom with heated tile flooring. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, cable, central air conditioning, forced air heating, a washer and dryer, and a two-car garage. Outside, guests will find a patio, a four-season porch, a deck, a five-person hot tub, a charcoal barbecue grill, a brick fire pit surrounded by Amish-made log benches.

Around the 90-acre farm on which the rental is located, guests will also find maintained trails winding through the woods, a shooting range with a skeet throw, a silo, and an event shelter. The top of the silo contains a viewing room with a bar table, stools, and a fridge. The event shelter features 2,000 square feet of space, a cement floor, and ample lighting. For special events, the host can provide portable toilets, a hand washing station, and chairs and tables for 100 guests.
Location + Surroundings
Just two minutes to the west, guests will find the Romance Prairie State Natural Area, which encompasses 77 acres of dry prairie, oak savanna, a wooded hillside, and a steep slope with exposed limestone and sandstone. About nine minutes to the west, guests will arrive at the town of Genoa, where they will find a couple of bars and a restaurant near the eastern bank of the Mississippi River.
Following the river south, guests can visit a variety of protected natural areas along its banks, such as Battle Bluff Prairie State Natural Area, Rush Creek State Natural Area, Blackhawk Park, and the New Albin Big Lake Wildlife Management Area. Following it north, guests will reach the city of La Crosse, where they will find a variety of restaurants and shops, as well attractions such as the Riverside Museum, the Hixon House, Riverside Park, and Dahl Auto Museum.
The rental is about three hours from Minneapolis, where the nearest international airport is located.

Guests can explore the woods on the property's maintained trails, fish in the stream that runs through it, hunt for deer, and practice their aim at the property's shooting range, which has a skeet thrower. Guests are welcome to bring an ATV and go off-roading as well, and snowmobilers will find a trail just a half mile away from the property.
For canoeing, guests can head to the Bad Axe River and the Kickapoo River. For hiking, guests can visit a variety of nearby natural areas, including Romance Prairie State Natural Area, Battle Bluff Prairie State Natural Area, Mount Hosmer Park, and the Reno Recreational Area.
Skiers and snowboarders can hit the slopes at Mt LaCrosse. For dining and shopping, guests will find a variety of options in the city of La Crosse, where they can also visit attractions such as the Riverside Museum, the Hixon House, Riverside Park, and Dahl Auto Museum.
