In a serene setting next to a large pond is this beautiful rustic cabin based in Hillsboro, around an hour's drive from La Crosse, Wisconsin. It is encircled by acres upon acres of conserved wilderness, and guests can enjoy the birdsongs and unspoiled scenery from the spacious front porch of this vacation home rental. Guests are provided with binoculars for bird watching, inner-tubes for fun on the water, and a barbecue for hosting barbecues, and if they need any additional camping supplies, Hillsboro is less than a 10-minute drive away. This camping cabin is suitable for family glamping, and there is a wide range of recreational activities in the area including canoeing in the Kickapoo River and hiking in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.

There are two bedrooms and a loft in this cabin to accommodate up to six guests. There is one king-size bed, two single-size beds, and additional sleeping for up to two people in the loft. There is also one bathroom with a shower. This cabin rental boasts a simple yet comfortable living room with a natural stone fireplace, and there is also a selection of books, games, and puzzles available for entertainment. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a coffeemaker, a refrigerator, cooking utensils, and eating utensils.

Sustainability and energy conservation are a priority on this property. The area is heated by a sustainable wood stove and lit using energy efficient compact fluorescent lighting. The hosts built a completely solar-powered system in 2011 which allows the property to create a surplus of solar energy every year. This solar system also serves to heat water throughout the property.

Glampers staying at this property can enjoy the use of the swimming pool, which has a swimming platform made entirely from recycled milk jugs. Guests are encouraged to recycle during their stay and are provided with a recycling bin and compost pile to facilitate this.

Linens and some towels are provided at this glamping site, although guests are advised to bring additional towels if they wish.
