"Karibu" means "welcome" in Swahili and this African-themed cedar log cabin makes for the perfect family vacation rental on Squaw Lake in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. It's welcoming and comfortable as well as rustic and natural. This is a seasonal rental, available from the beginning of May through September, and in-season, guests will find it has everything they need to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
There are two bedrooms - one with a double bed and a romantic mosquito net, and a second bedroom with a double bed and bunk beds, sleeping up to six guests comfortably. From the screened porch, guests have views of Squaw Lake, and it's a great place to wake up with a cup of coffee or relax at the end of the day with a soda or a glass of wine.
Inside, there is a small living area with a flat-screen TV with DirecTV and a DVD player, perfect for a family movie night. If guests don't feel like eating out, they have a full kitchen as well as a Weber charcoal grill. No matter how guests decide to spend their days, they will love relaxing here in this vacation rental in the heart of Wisconsin's Northwoods. Guests also have free Wi-Fi and use of all the resort facilities.
Guests staying here have everything they need to feel at home - a full kitchen, a flat-screen for family movie nights, and other staples of home. Guests also have access to all of the resort facilities. There is a disc golf course, playground, basketball and sand volleyball courts, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, and even paddle boards. Kids will love having the swimming rafts available, or even a Rave bouncer. This is not to mention the best sandy beach in the Northwoods and two T-shaped docks for fishing, swimming, and boating.

Guests here will easily be able to fill their days with outdoor fun. In the summer, Squaw Lake is the perfect place to spend the day, and even better on the property's sugar-sand beach. From the two docks, guests may go kayaking, canoeing, or paddle boarding, fishing, and swimming. The beach is a great place to bring a picnic on a summer day and spend a day with the family in the water. Outside of the resort, the Northwoods offers another host of activities. Guests can hike, bike, or cross-country ski the many marked trails throughout the Northwoods area, from the Nicolet National Forest trails and Northern Highland State Forest trails to Oneida County trails and many others. When there is snow, guests can also go downhill skiing at the many ski resorts in the region. Big Powder Horn, Indianhead Mountain, Mount Bohemia, Whitecap Mountain, Ski Brule, and a few others are easily accessible and offer a day of family fun in the snow.
