There is a bathroom with hot and cold running water, and there is also a fully equipped kitchen next to the open living area and wood stove. The yurt boasts two twin beds in the loft, as well as two full-size futons in the main area, but kids are often known to “set up camp” on the floor beside the wood stove. The game table doubles as the dining table.
This beautiful yurt sits on a large, raised deck where guests will find a gas grill and plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy the refreshing Colorado mountain air. A new fire pit and patio located a short walk from the front steps are recent additions to this stunning rental. On lovely summer days, guests can open up the side windows and let in a cool breeze or stay cozy within the insulated real cedar walls on a cold, snowy winter afternoon.
There is a three-night minimum stay at this glamping site. The minimum daily rate is for double occupancy. Children under 12 stay for free and do not count as extra guests. After the first two guests and up to four or more guests, there is an additional fee of $16.50 per extra guest per night.

In the fall months, during the big game hunting seasons in western Colorado, the host offers up this yurt, as well as the surrounding private property and the limited access to 1000's of acres of public land to licensed hunters for a special rate. Guests interested in staying at this yurt and hunting at the property are asked to inquire with the host, as special rates apply.
Location + Surroundings
The property is accessed by a private road that is accessible by normal automobiles during summer months. The access road is plowed during the winter months that the site is open (closed in December, January, and February), but it is steep in some locations. Please keep in mind that winter access requires four-wheel drive.

On the property itself, there are miles of hiking, mountain biking, and ATV trails. Grand Mesa National Forest is a popular spot for both downhill and cross country skiing, as well as boasting hundreds of miles of hiking, fishing, hunting, as well as ATV and snowmobile trails.
Guests can enjoy any outdoor activity they can think of from windsurfing and wildlife viewing to snowboarding and sailing. The list is endless, making this site a nature lover's paradise. Some of the best attractions include state and national parks. Black Canyon National Park with its unique terrain is not far from this site.

The nightly rate for a six-night stay for double occupancy is $121.50 per night and the 7-night weekly rate is $850.50. For each additional guest up to four, there is an additional fee of $100.00 per guest per week.
