The nearby Rocky Mountain National Park is full of towering mountains, verdant forests, secluded lakes, tundra, wildflowers, and abundant wildlife. The wildlife is spectacular in this entire region including deer, elk, raptors, bears and all of the Rocky Mountain region fauna. Both Bald and Golden eagles routinely visit and occasionally nest on the property. Numerous other raptors and owls also call this home.
Arapaho, Routt, Medicine Bow, and Roosevelt National Forests contain millions of acres for guests' recreation, including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and horseback riding. This river is a world-class fly fishery, and there are spawning beds creating by the heavy runoff, maintaining a healthy environment and ample bug life for strong trout. Fraser River Ranch also offers a stocked pond.
There are trails up and down the mountainside with incredible views while mountain biking or ATV riding. For experienced bikers, the ranch has a trail system that glampers can easily access.
