These two adjoining cabin rentals can be found in the San Juan Mountains, Colorado, and are the perfect choice for a group getaway. They can sleep a total of 20+ guests in total and are ideal for groups traveling together that would like a bit more privacy.
In the first cabin, guests will find a king-size bed, four queen-size beds, and twin-size bunk beds. There are also three bathrooms spread throughout the property to ensure that the whole group has plenty of privacy, including a master bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. This cabin has 2 full kitchens and living area where guests can prepare meals and relax together. Outside, guests can soak in the rural views from the covered deck.
In the second adjoining cabin, a total of eight can be accommodated as there are two queen-size bedrooms and also two queen-size beds in the sleeping loft. The beds are all dressed in comfortable linens to ensure that guests sleep peacefully during their mountain getaway. This cabin also has a full bathroom that offers plenty of privacy and there is a second welcoming living area if the group needs more space. This cabin also has its own little kitchen too.
Despite the rural setting, guests will feel right at home during a stay at this campsite as a wide range of deluxe facilities can be enjoyed.
Down by the river, guests will find a communal fire pit and there is also a basketball half-court and a sand volleyball court for guests to enjoy. Plenty of parking is available.

This is a vintage, rustic cabin village situated on the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River, surrounded by the San Juan Mountains.
1. Water & Fishing Activities
Since the Texan Resort straddles the river, water activities are literally at your doorstep.
Private Fishing: The Texan Resort offers private fishing access on the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River, which runs directly through the property. It’s a prime spot for brown and rainbow trout.
Lake San Cristobal: A 3-minute drive away is Colorado’s second-largest natural lake. You can rent canoes, kayaks, and rowboats or go shore-fishing. In winter, this becomes a hub for ice fishing and skating.
Boating & SUP: The lake is ideal for stand-up paddleboarding and motorboating during the summer months.
2. Off-Roading & "The Alpine Loop"
Lake City is one of the main gateways to the Alpine Loop Backcountry Byway, a 65-mile rugged road system.
Jeep & OHV Rentals: You can rent 4X4 vehicles within walking distance of the resort. These allow you to reach high-altitude ghost towns like Animas Forks and Capitol City.
Scenic Passes: Drive over Cinnamon Pass or Engineer Pass for some of the most dramatic treeless tundra and wildflower views in the Rockies.
3. Mountain Hiking & Climbing
Lake City is the "Fourteener Capital" of the area, providing access to five peaks over 14,000 feet.
The "Big Five": Uncompahgre, Handies, Redcloud, Sunshine, and Wetterhorn Peaks are all accessible from nearby trailheads.
