Glamping Colorado: yurt vacations for the intrepid traveler
This yurt with a 20-foot diameter is perfect for the adventuresome in the Flat Tops of Colorado. Four-wheel drive with clearance is the necessary travel method to reach this remote back country escape. The yurt can sleep six, with one double bed and two bunk beds. Guests should bring their own sleeping bags. The accommodation is equipped with pots, pans, utensils, a dry sink, a propane cook stove, and a small gas grill for guests' cooking needs. The yurt has a wood and coal stove for heating, in addition to solar lighting.
There is an old-fashioned outhouse for when nature calls. A bathhouse for showering is located at the lodge two miles away. The best part about the yurt is its beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and forests from its private deck elevated among the trees.
There is a bathhouse available for the units that do not already have an interior bathroom.

This glamping site is the perfect place to stay overnight while discovering this stunning part of Colorado's terrain. There are beautiful landscapes through which to hike or go horseback riding. The facility even offers elk hunting trips, and there are fantastic lakes in the area for trout fishing.
Check out Meeker's numerous annual festivals, too, while glamping in Colorado; they include the Meekerpalooza Arts & Music Festival in June and the White River OHV Rendezvous in July, to name a few. The White River Museum could make for an fascinating field trip, too, to learn more about this area of Colorado's history.
