This glamping bunkhouse is settled right outside this site’s historic lodge, which has a cozy dining area with a fireplace, a lounge with large windows for enjoying the views, and a large deck shaded by cottonwood trees. It has five individual rooms that each has a private entrance and a full bathroom. They are elegantly decorated and have large windows for soaking in the natural surroundings, and guests will enjoy a good night’s sleep in a large, comfortable bed. All facilities were recently renovated and are surrounded by extensive grounds. Enjoy the large back patio amongst century-old Cottonwoods, complimentary maid service and laundry facilities, as well as a hot tub with lovely views of the mountains and sand dunes.
There is a rustic, lodge-style dining room on site that serves gourmet food for every meal. The on site gourmet chef creates spectacular home-style menus often featuring ranch-raised bison and beef as well as locally grown vegetables and produce. These are served in either of two dining rooms – in the outside dining area on calm evenings or the beautiful indoor dining room with large windows and a fireplace.
This property serves its own grass-fed beef and bison along with local, organic produce. The food style is down home gourmet and meals are served family style. Breakfast is served at 8:00 am, sack lunches of guests' choice are provided to take with them on activities and dinner is at 6:00 pm. Horse-lovers will delight in the opportunity to explore the San Luis Valley and Great Sand Dunes National Park by horseback, as well as learn how to work and move cattle. Other activities include birding, wildlife viewing, geology tours, and nature hikes, and guests can even go fly fishing in one of the local streams for an additional cost. With wranglers and ranch staff on site, glampers have the opportunity to help with ranch projects to get a true feel for life on a working ranch, and guests can also take a yoga class for a more relaxing retreat.
