For a peaceful getaway, guests can treat themselves to a stay in this romantic suite in a picturesque lodge near Norwich, Connecticut; just next to Pachaug State Forest. From the windows, there are gorgeous views of the pasture and the rolling hills behind. The room accommodates two guests in a four-poster queen-size bed draped in deluxe linens and bedding. There is also a private bathroom with a shower, a sink, and a toilet. Linens and towels are provided.

The room still has many of its original features such as the old batten doors and the wooden floor. It provides guests with a simple decor and a relaxing ambiance. In the cooler months, the wood-burning fireplace will keep guests nice and warm, while the air conditioning will keep guests nice and cool in the summer. A delicious farm-to-table breakfast is served each morning.

Guests will have access to the rest of the lodge's facilities with a stay here, including the beautiful lounge, where guests can watch TV, play cards, or simply snuggle up with one of the cats. There is plenty to do and see in this part of Connecticut, and the beautiful Pachaug State Forest is just a 30-minute drive away.

There is on-site parking. Guests can also browse the farm shop with fresh and local products. The accommodation features crisp cotton sheets and towels and shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided. Outside, guests can roam through the picturesque gardens and relax in the hammock. Wi-Fi is available throughout the site. Evenings can be spent curled up in the shared living room while watching a show on the TV.

Guests will find plenty to do with a stay in the lovely town of Preston. Those on a romantic trip will love a wine tour where they can weave through the vineyards and bring back a bottle of their favorite local wine. In the warm summer months, guests can explore the numerous lakes and rivers. Amos Lake is just minutes away offering boating and fishing. For those looking to practice their swing, Lake of Isles Golf Club is just a 10-minutes drive south of the site.

Nature lovers can head to Pauchag State Forest for some excellent hiking through the towering trees. These same trails are also great for biking before guests stop off for some freshwater fishing or for a dip to cool off. Down at the coast, other watersports include catching some waves with a surfboard and stand-up paddleboarding around the coves of Mystic and Stonington.
