Magical Glamping Experience: Beautiful Yurt near Portland, Maine

Description

This yurt rental is a platform built high in the trees. Set up for glamping, it is insulated and heated for year-round enjoyment. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. Comfy bedding and electricity are provided as well as a kitchenette with many amenities. Camp firewood is available for purchase ($5 per bundle) but wood for the indoor wood stove is included. Please do not mix the two.

This is a glamping spot perfect for those who like a little adventure. There is no running water but in the warmer months, I set up an outdoor sink for easier dishwashing and hand washing. The yurt is heated with a woodstove for amazing winter coziness as well as a monitor heater that will heat the yurt with no problem. A floor fan and open-screened windows help in the heat of the summer.

The host provides awesome bedding along with tons of pillows and comforters that tie the coziness up in a neat little package. There is a small kitchenette with a small fridge, a cooktop, a toaster oven, pots and pans, utensils and dinnerware, a few tubs for dishwashing, kitchen towels, and a table and chairs. The deck is great for watching the trees sway and grilling on the tabletop BBQ grill. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions on how to use it.

Although there is no running water, the host provides many gallons of drinking water and washing water for dishes or cleansing. The yurt is located in the back part of the host's property surrounded by woods. There is a shared driveway with parking for the yurt and the house. The house sits approximately 200 feet away from the yurt.

There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes.
