This dog-friendly safari tent is located near Ogunquit, Maine, and can accommodate six guests. The vacation rental comes with a queen-size bunk bed and a wood-burning stove. Additional sleeping arrangements are available for extra guests. There is an onsite sun shower, and linens are available for an additional price. Glampers will have their own campfire grill, grill tongs, a grill brush, and a water carrier. Every tent comes with a portable camp toilet, which is a wooden box with a seat that has a bucket inside. The hosts were inspired by the bathrooms on NASA spaceships when creating these camp toilets. Before use, guests must line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag that is provided by the hosts, or a similar plastic bag. After use, the bag must be tied up and placed in the trash.
Outside, there is a small deck with Adirondack chairs and views of the countryside. The property comes with a picnic table, benches, and a fire pit, and is surrounded by nearly 50 acres of private land. Glampers can drive just a short distance away for more fantastic hiking opportunities, including Mount Agamenticus, a park reservation for wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts, and the Bauneg Beg Mountain Conservation Area, which has 89 wooded acres to explore. Guests can also head to nearby Mount Agamenticus or the Bauneg Beg Mountain Conservation Area for more fantastic outdoor adventures.
After spending the day in nature, the coastal town of Ogunquit is a wonderful spot to grab a bite to eat or a drink. The town is also home to Ogunquit Beach, a sandy peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and the Ogunquit River where guests can sunbathe, swim, build sandcastles, boat, and so much more.
