This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay in one of the cabins that formerly hosted guests including John Wayne and Andy Devine. Built in the 1940s, these three luxury cabins are full of rustic form but are also up to date on modern amenities. Each unique cabin has a private outhouse with a bath, and guests have access to a communal shower in the main lodge. There is Wi-Fi service inside these vacation home rentals, and they each have a cozy wood-burning stove.

The Duke: This is the cabin that formerly hosted John Wayne. It has one double-size bed and one single-size bed.

Grub Stake: This cabin has a double-size bed and a single-size bed. It also has a sitting room that could sleep an additional guest. It overlooks the tranquil creek.

Bear’s Den: This cabin has two single-size beds.

The wood-fired sauna is also a great way to rejuvenate after a long day of exploring. The city of Tok is 28 miles away with several shops and dining options. Anchorage is a 300 mile road trip away, where guests can experience the many attractions that Alaska’s capital city has to offer. This location is the ideal location to step away from the pace, noise and distractions of daily life, to relax and catch a breather while traveling and absorb both the grandeur and simple delights of nature.

Additional Information

There is a two-night minimum stay at this glamping site in Alaska from October to April. Rates are lower for multiple night bookings and vary according to season. There are also special rates for guests staying two nights or more. There is an additional fee of $35 per night for each additional guest. Children under 12 may join in the glamping experience for no extra charge. Rates include breakfast and dinner daily.

Pets can be accommodated upon approval, and there is an additional charge of $10 per pet, per night. Smoking is prohibited inside these vacation home rentals.
